The National Weather Service is continues the Flash Flood Watch that includes JSC and vicinity through 8AM CDT Wednesday.
At noon CDT showers were slowly increasing in coverage across the northwest half of Harris county. These showers were rotating around a small circulation center located near Hooks Airport. The showers are forecast to expand in coverage and intensity before moving into the JSC vicinity later this afternoon, most likely between 2PM to 3PM. Average rainfall amounts should be in the 0.5 to 1.50 inch range through tomorrow morning with a few amounts of between 1.2 to 2.0 inches in stronger storms. Rainfall rates of around 1.5 inches per hour will likely cause some minor street flooding and ponding of water on-site.
