JSC Today Special: Harvey Recovery Information
As the recovery team and facility managers work hard to get JSC ready for everyone to come back to work, we know you are working hard to get your houses and those of friends and family back together. We’ve compiled some helpful links and phone numbers to assist you. This is by no means a complete list.
Gilruth: Donated items are available for those who need them, and JSC Team members may pick up donations at the Gilruth Destiny Ballroom any time between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. through Monday.
The Starport Fitness & Cardio Center will open tomorrow during the times of the Recharge & Refresh Center (daily from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. through Monday).
Nom Mi Street Food Truck will be available tomorrow at the Gilruth between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The JSC Credit Union: The Credit Union is currently helping members in need by offering the following loan programs: Disaster Relief Skip-a-Payment and Disaster Relief Loan.

FEMA: For FEMA assistance, registering online is the quickest. Go to www.DisasterAssistance.gov. If you do not have access to the internet, you may register by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY). If you use 711 relay or Video Relay Service (VRS), call 800-621-3362 directly. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. (local time) seven days a week until further notice.
EAP Services: Employees experiencing emotional crisis can call our main number 281-483-6130 and they will be routed to one of our counselors. We will be providing stress debriefings to all JSC work groups in the coming weeks as people return to work.

Volunteering Your Time
Gilruth: A variety of donations are also being accepted at the Gilruth Center’s Destiny Ballroom. For a list of current needs and details about the Recovery Swap Shop and other ways to help team members, please refer to the JSC Today Special that went out on Aug. 31.
BBVA Compass Stadium: The stadium is acting as a drop-off location for donations at its southeast gate, on Emancipation Street near Walker Street. The site opened at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30.
Volunteer Houston: A VIRTUAL Volunteer Reception Center has been launched to aid nonprofits and agencies in finding and deploying people to hard-site areas. Click here for more information.
Houston Food Bank and the Food Bank of Corpus Christi are asking for donations.
Donate Blood: Carter BloodCare covers hospitals in north, central and east Texas. To donate, call 877-571-1000 or text DONATE4LIFE to 444-999. There is also the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.
Helping Animals: To help animals suffering from the disaster, visit the Houston Humane Society or the San Antonio Humane Society.
