Tropical Storm (TS) Cindy is expected to come onshore somewhere near the Texas and Louisiana border late tonight or early tomorrow morning. The latest forecast for JSC calls for 30 to 40 mph winds with peak gusts possible to 50 mph. There is little to no storm surge threat for the local area. We expect 1 to 3 inches of rain with locally higher amounts.

JSC will remain open for normal business, and we will update www.jscsos.com with real-time information and site conditions in case there is minor road flooding in the immediate area or at one of our gates. Employees living east of JSC should monitor the latest advisories on TS Cindy’s impact to their area at http://hurricanes.gov. Coordinate any special circumstances you might have with your supervisor.

Be careful on your commute to work, especially tomorrow morning, and avoid driving through high water areas.
