From the Spaceflight Meteorology Group: At 10AM CDT, the center of Hurricane Delta was located at 24.0 N 92.7 W or 410 miles southeast of JSC moving northwest at 14 MPH. Maximum sustained winds were 105 MPH (category 2). Delta is forecast to make landfall on the southwest Louisiana coast around 6 to 8 PM Friday. Delta is forecast to turn more northerly this evening and then to the north northeast on Friday.  Some strengthening today followed by as slight reduction on Friday.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect from San Luis Pass to High Island and a Hurricane Warning from High Island east into LA.  A Coastal Flood warning in effect for the shoreline until 3PM tomorrow.  Winds at JSC should be in the 25 to 30 mph range with a few high gusts tomorrow.  Total rainfall should be 1.25 inches or less.  Water levels in Clear Lake leading into JSC may be 1 to 2 feet above typical tide levels.
