Heavy rains have let up at JSC but rainfall will continue off and on through much of this morning. As of 5:45 AM 2.94 inches of rain had fallen at JSC Bldg 30 since midnight. Including late yesterday the storm accumulation rainfall so far at JSC is 3.44 inches. Since midnight 2.10 inches had fallen at NASA Ellington Field. Rainfall in the immediate JSC vicinity was in the 1.75 to near 3 inch range. This has resulted in some street flooding. Houston Transtar had reported water on the roadway at SH96 and Calder in League City. Conditions will improve by mid morning.
Please use caution while driving, especially when near construction zones and low spots where water is known to accumulate. Do not drive into areas of standing water. Remember: Turn Around! Don’t Drown!
