JSC’s Center Leadership is working closely with members of the JSC and WSTF communities. We are aware of the stay-at-home orders issued by Harris and Galveston counties and the state of New Mexico, which go into effect at midnight tonight, March 24.
What does this mean for the Center? The safety and well-being of our employees, families and community is of utmost importance. As of now the center is still at Stage 3 of the Agency’s framework response, with only mission-essential personnel on site whose duties cannot be done remotely.
Center Director Mark Geyer, Deputy Director Vanessa Wyche, and JSC Medical Officer Dr. Terry Taddeo recorded a JSC All Hands Town Hall talking about the status of the center, steps that have been taken under Stage 3, and the importance of working safely from home or onsite. They answered as many of your submitted questions as they could. Please see your email for the link.
Maintain frequent contact with your supervisor throughout this period. We will continue to assess the situation and update the status of the center, and its facilities, as needed.
If you’re having difficulty coping during this time, please speak with your supervisor or connect with JSC’s Employee Assistance Program. The EAP is here to help the JSC family and is adding resources online as they get them.
Stay healthy and safe, and please continue to consult NASA People, JSCSOS and the Roundup for the most current guidance on NASA’s response to the coronavirus.
