The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory through 8PM that includes JSC.

The maximum temperature at JSC today is forecast to reach 94 with a heat index between 108 and 111.  Maximum heat index should occur between noon and 1PM with another peak around 4PM.  A few passing rain showers today may temporarily knock the heat down for a short period.

Maximum temperature yesterday at JSC was 92 with a peak heat index of 108.  Maximum temperature at NASA Ellington Field was 95.  On this day in 2000 the temperature at JSC Building 30 reached 109 degrees, the all-time record since JSC records began in 2000.

The NWS issues a Heat Advisory when the heat index >= 108 or the temperature >= 103 F. Please take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.
