JSC is expecting record setting cold temperatures over the next few days. A mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow is likely to occur Sunday night into Monday morning. Temperatures are forecast to remain below freezing from Monday night through Tuesday, so roads may be icy. Hazardous driving conditions are expected.
JSC will remain open, however with reduced mission essential operations, similar to holiday staffing. Onsite personnel should be kept to a minimum. Mission essential workers reporting to site should plan ahead in case conditions deteriorate and travel offsite becomes difficult. Please notify your supervisor if you are a mission essential worker and you cannot safely report to site, so you can make alternate work arrangements.
Gate 1 will remain open, but all other gates will be closed until Wednesday.
Contractors should talk to their company officials for their company’s policy, and contract management officials seeking further guidance, please reach out to your contracting officer. Civil servants with questions should contact their supervisors.
If you must travel, take extra care, especially on bridges and overpasses, which may ice over. Take precautions for exposed or vulnerable pipes, plants and pets.

Management will monitor weather throughout this period and send out any needed updates.
