Weather Update from the Spaceflight Meteorology Group:
- Record setting cold temperatures will continue tonight with JSC dropping back into the teens down to near 10 degrees Tuesday morning. Temperatures will be slowly rising Tuesday and back above freezing by mid-afternoon and should remain near or just above freezing Wednesday morning. The Hard Freeze Warning and Wind Chill Warning remain in effect until noon tomorrow.
- Another upper level trough will move over this cold air mass bringing more precipitation very late Tuesday night and Wednesday. For JSC and the immediate vicinity this time it appears as though the precipitation will remain as rain. Freezing rain, sleet and possibly snow won’t be too far away to the north so this is still worth monitoring for possible JSC winter impacts.
