JSC will close to all but essential personnel beginning at 11:59pm tonight and remain closed on Monday, July 8th 2024.
The Main Gate will remain open. All other gates will be closed.
Your safety is the first priority. Monitor local weather and check conditions before travel.
To ensure continuity of operations, Civil Servants who do report to site are expected to telework when the center is closed. See the JSC Personnel Handbook and refer to the Telework and Weather and Safety Leave sections for more information. Contact your supervisor for further instructions if severe weather impacts your ability to telework safely (e.g. power loss, residence becomes unsafe, and/or you’ve been encouraged to or directed to evacuate).
Contractors should talk to their supervisors for their company’s policy.
Remote workers who are not impacted by a storm are expected to continue to telework.
Mission critical employees who typically report to work during closure should discuss work schedules and strategy with your manager in case it is unsafe to travel to the center.
Center Status updates will be posted on www.jscsos.com, and messages may also be sent via the Emergency Notification System (ENS) and the NASA Safe mobile app.
