From the Spaceflight Meteorology Group:

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Advisory for the JSC area through 9PM CDT.

Heat wave continues. Forecast high at JSC Building 30 today is 99 which would break the daily record of 98 set in 2018. The forecast high at NASA Ellington Field is 102. NASA Ellington has recorded a max temperature of 100 or more for 15 straight days. Heat index values this afternoon at JSC will be in the 108 to 113 range from 2PM to 5:30 and at Ellington in the 110 to 117 range in the afternoon hours.

Dry weather looks to continue but there is a meager chance for a shower tomorrow afternoon. There are growing signs for a better chance for rain early next week.

The NWS issues an Excessive Heat Warning when the heat index is >= 113 or the temperature is >= 105 F. Please take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.
