The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning that includes the JSC area until 1230 PM.
At 8:30AM two narrow rainfall bands from Tropical Storm Beta were moving into the JSC area and may produce an additional 2 to 4 inches of rain at JSC and NASA Ellington Field this morning. These showers are moving relatively quickly but have high rain rates so some additional street flooding is likely this morning. So far on-site streets appear to be handling the rain. Since midnight 1.96″ rain has fallen at JSC for a 2 day total of 6.43 inches.
Flooding of low lying areas and highways can be expected. Drive with caution. Any road closures may be found on this web site, http://traffic.houstontranstar.org
