The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning that includes the JSC, Sonny Carter Training Facility and NASA Ellington Field until 11:30 AM CDT.

As of 8:40 AM 2.04 inches of rain has fallen since midnight at JSC Building 30.  At NASA Ellington Field 0.99 inch has fallen.  At 8:40 AM a line of storms stretched from Baytown to Bacliff and was moving northwest at 12 to 15 mph.  This will bring a brief round of heavy rain to JSC and SCTF/EFD.  Some road closures have been reported in portions of Galveston County.  Other showers and storms are likely later this morning and afternoon with occasional breaks in between.

Since Sunday 7.05 inches of rain has fell at JSC.

Flooding of low lying areas and highways can be expected.  Drive with caution. Any road closures may be found on this web site, http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/roadclosures/
