The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch that includes JSC and vicinity beginning at 1PM CDT today lasting until 7AM CDT Friday.
A warm front will bring some brief, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the JSC vicinity by early afternoon before moving north of JSC. The better chance for heavier rainfall will be between 6pm and 11PM. The weather scenario unfolding is complex but the heaviest rainfall looks to occur not far north of JSC. Forecast rain accumulations for JSC is between 0.6 and 0.9 inch but there is about 30% chance to see more than 2 inches.
