National Weather Service has extended the Flash Flood Watch that includes JSC and vicinity until 6PM CDT today.

As of 6:10 AM CDT this morning 3.28 inches of rain has fallen at JSC since midnight.  In the past 24 hours 4.06 inches had fallen.  At NASA Ellington Field only 1.36 inches had fell since midnight.  Heavier rain had fallen in El Lago, Seabrook, League City and Dickinson where 24 hour totals of 4 to 6 inches were noted.

Heavy rainfall has shifted a bit east of JSC this morning and should remain closer to the coast for most of the morning.  By afternoon a few showers and thunderstorms are possible again which could cause some minor street flooding at JSC.
