From the Spaceflight Meteorology Group:
At 4:00 PM CDT, Hurricane Zeta was located at 19.5 N 86.0 W or 895 miles southeast of JSC, moving northwest at 10 MPH. Maximum sustained winds were 80 MPH.
Zeta is forecast to make landfall on the southeast Louisiana coast Wednesday evening as a category 1 hurricane or strong tropical storm. No impacts to JSC are expected from Zeta. Zeta will be making a turn to the north and then northeast beginning in the wee early hours Wednesday.
The next advisory will be issued Tuesday morning.
