The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch that includes JSC and vicinity until 7AM Thursday.

JSC should catch a break from heavy rains for much of today.  A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible later this afternoon in the JSC vicinity which may bring an additional 0.1 to 0.2 inch of rain.  The best chance for heavy rains around JSC appears to begin around sunrise Wednesday into Wednesday night.  An additional 2 to 4 inches of rain accumulation is likely Wednesday into late Wednesday night.  Rainfall rates may be in the 1 to 2 inches per hour intensity for short durations tomorrow which would lead to some flash flooding of streets, creeks and bayous nearby on Wednesday.  An updated JENS message will be sent out later today.
