The NWS has issued a flood advisory effective until 8 am that includes JSC and the surrounding area:

At 702 AM CDT Doppler radar indicated moderate rain falling. Although rainfall rates have not been extremely heavy over thelast hour, the rain has been heavy enough to exacerbate floodingfrom heavier rain overnight. Several watersheds including CowertsCreek, Chigger Creek, Cloud Bayou and Clear Creek are rising andnear top of bank. Please exercise caution this morning.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…Pasadena, southeastern Pearland, League City, Baytown, Galveston Causeway, Galveston Island West End, Texas City, Friendswood, La Porte, Deer Park, Alvin, Dickinson, South Houston, La Marque, Santa Fe, Seabrook, Galena Park, Webster, Hitchcock and Beach City.
