Center Management continues to monitor Tropical Storm Barry. Currently the forecast track takes the storm well east of JSC into central Louisiana. There are no plans to proceed with hurricane preparation levels at JSC at this time.

This is an excellent time to make sure your emergency contact information is up-to-date and test your remote connection/VPN capability. You and your family can also review your preparedness plan.

It’s also a good time to make sure you know what your organization’s continuity of operations plan (COOP) in the case of potential weather or safety emergencies, including emergency POCs or staff, operating procedures if Center closes or has a delayed opening, virtual connection capability, etc.
