The app offers notifications for severe weather, special events, and even center statuses during government shutdowns, ensuring you’re always informed. It’s free to download and easy to use on both personal and government devices, with no fees or passwords required.

To keep informed:

  1. Download the NASA SAFE app.

  2. Open the app and go to Notification Settings.

  3. Select Johnson Space Center (JSC) under Notification Preferences.

  4. Scroll down to Save your selections.

  5. Enable notifications and location services (from Settings on your device).
