From the Spaceflight Meteorology Group:

At 10PM CDT, Tropical Storm Nicholas was upgraded to Hurricane Nicholas and was located at 28.4 N 95.8 W or 90 miles southwest of JSC.  Hurricane Nicholas was moving northerly at 10 MPH.  Maximum sustained winds were 75 MPH.

Hurricane Nicholas is forecast to make landfall on the middle Texas coast between Port O’Connor and Freeport this evening from 10PM to midnight. Primary threat to JSC is the heavy rainfall and possible flash flooding Tuesday morning. The National Hurricane Center has continued a Tropical Storm Warning for the JSC area. A Flash Flood Warning and Storm Surge Warning are also in effect for the JSC vicinity.
