At 10AM CDT, Tropical Storm Barry was located at 28.2N 90.4W or 300 miles ESE of JSC, moving WNW at 5 MPH. Maximum sustained winds were 65 MPH.

Barry is forecast to make a more northerly turn later today and make landfall on the central Louisiana coast near sunrise tomorrow as a minimal hurricane.

Potential impacts to JSC:  some rain showers and thunderstorms are possible mainly Saturday afternoon and into Sunday as moisture wraps around far periphery of Barry.  Rainfall amounts should be under 1 inch except in isolated cases near JSC.  Winds should remain in the 15 to 20 mph range.
