At 10AM CDT, the center of Tropical Storm Zeta was located at 21.6 N 89.5 W or 660 miles southeast of JSC, moving northwest at 14 MPH. Maximum sustained winds were 65 MPH.
Zeta is forecast to strengthen back to hurricane status by this evening. A turn to the north is forecast late tonight continuing on to a faster northeast track by tomorrow afternoon. Confidence in this turn is high. No impacts to JSC are expected from Zeta. A cold front tomorrow afternoon will bring some breezy northwest winds as well as increased rainfall chances.
