From the Spaceflight Meteorology Group:

The National Hurricane Center has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for the JSC area.

At 4PM CDT on Sunday, September 20th, Tropical Storm Beta was located at 27.7N 94.0W or 145 miles southeast of JSC. Beta was moving WNW at 6 MPH. Maximum sustained winds were 60 MPH. TS Beta is forecast to make landfall on the Texas coast near Matagorda Bay or Matagorda county near noon or early afternoon Monday.  Primary concern for JSC will be the threat for heavy rainfall and flash flooding.  A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for JSC through 7PM Tuesday.  JSC may see total accumulated rainfall through Wednesday of between 7 to 8.5 inches of rain.
