From the Spaceflight Meteorology Group:
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring an area of showers and thunderstorms in the Bay of Campeche in association with a broad area of low pressure for possible development into a tropical depression or storm. NHC is giving this area a LOW (20%) chance to develop in the next 2 days but a HIGH (70%) in the next 3 to 5 days. The system is forecast to northward by midweek possibly forming into a tropical depression Thursday or Friday in the middle or northwestern Gulf. In short confidence has increased in development but it is too soon to predict an exact evolution and track should a depression or storm form. For JSC this is something to continue to monitor over the next few days.
