The National Weather Service has extended the Flash Flood Warning that includes the Johnson Space Center area until 4:30 p.m.
As of 1:37 p.m., 1.20 inches of rain has fallen at JSC and 1.18 inches at NASA Ellington Field, most of that in the past hour. Observed rain rates and webcam images around JSC indicate only nuisance street flooding and ponding of water on-site. Many areas are discouraging travel.
Flooding of low-lying areas and highways can be expected. Drive with caution. Any road closures may be found on this web site, http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/roadclosures/ and drivetexas.org
