The National Weather Service has extended the Flash Flood Watch that includes Johnson Space Center and vicinity until 7 p.m. CDT today. An additional 1.91 inches of rain fell yesterday at JSC Building 30 bringing the 3 day total to 8.94 inches. At NASA Ellington Field 1.90 inches fell yesterday and the 3 day total is 8.10 inches. Showers and thunderstorms to the north of JSC will inch slowly southeastward during the day and some new storms may form off to the southwest making for a rainy late morning and afternoon at JSC. Two to four inches of additional rainfall is possible today with isolated higher amounts possible nearby.
