The National Weather Service has an Areao Flood Advisory until 1:15 PM CDT that includes JSC. As of 12:25 PM CDT 1.20″ of rain has fallen at JSC since midnight, most in the past 1 to 1.5 hours. Radar and weather cameras show that JSC is in a bit of a break with only light rainfall occuring but after 1:00 PM moderate to brief heavy rains look likely to occur with more showers moving in from the south.
Heavier rain has fallen over parts of north central Galveston County including League City, Kemah and Clear Lake Shores where a Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 2:15 PM. There have been a few reports of road closings due to high water in Kemah and Bacliff.
