From the Spaceflight Meteorology Group:
At 4PM CDT, Tropical Storm Nicholas was located at 27.4 N 96.4 W or 160 miles south-southwest of JSC. TS Nicholas was moving northerly at 12 MPH. Maximum sustained winds were 65 MPH.
TS Nicholas is forecast to make landfall on the middle Texas coast between Matagorda Island and Freeport around midnight tonight. Primary threat to JSC is the heavy rainfall and possible flash flooding Tuesday morning. A Flash Flood Warning and Storm Surge Warning are also in effect for the JSC vicinity.
