The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch that includes JSC and vicinity until 7PM Saturday.

At 3:30 PM showers and thunderstorms were beginning to develop east and west of JSC.  A few storms should develop between 5 and 7PM in the vicinity this evening, some could be strong or severe with heavy rain.  Heavier rainfall is more likely later this evening and overnight with between 1.75 to 2.25 inches overnight on average near JSC.  A few locations will have more.  There should be a lull in rainfall by late tomorrow morning into the early evening of Friday.  Another 2 – 4 inches of rain may fall Friday night and Saturday around JSC.  It is very likely the Houston area will see some serious road flooding and water out of banks on some bayous between now and Saturday night.
