From the Spaceflight Meteorology Group:

The National Weather Service has kept the Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon today. The advisory has been left up to account for areas where yesterday’s rainfall froze on elevated surfaces or there was freezing rain. There is also a small area of mixed rain/freezing rain rear the coast which will remain east of JSC today. By late morning temperatures will be rising above freezing. Technically JSC is barely within the Advisory area but streets are dry onsite with no issues.

As of 625 AM the minimum temperature at JSC was 27 degrees. JSC should warm to above freezing by 11AM or noon this morning. Winds are breezy so wind chills in the teens and 20s will continue today. By this evening cloudy skies will slowly begin to decrease in coverage and winds will decrease. Temperatures drop below freezing again shortly after midnight through mid-morning Saturday. Forecast low Saturday morning at JSC is 27 degrees.

If you plan to be out on the roads today, be aware that there may be patches of ice on roadways, especially to our north and west. travel with caution. You can monitor road conditions at www.drivetexas.org.
